After a few months off personal projects, I’m back with a new illustration! It’s a sailor wrapped in memories, with waves, a ship, and dreamy figures.
This cover turns 17 years old! ❤️
It’s especially meaningful to me since I abandoned the comic author dream back then and transitioned into illustration full-time, creating the illustrated cover for the “Patate Douce” collective comic album.
Edited by Les Editions du Potager Moderne under Stéphane Godefroid, this project featured amazing artists like Alfred, David de Thuin, Catel, and Fermín Solís. I crafted Le Club de la Patate Douce—proud urban activists each showcasing their favorite tuber or veggie—because I love weaving a story into every piece.
Beyond the honor of designing this cherished cover, it won over clients I still work with today. My tip for new illustrators? Keep creating and give it your all; you’ll have more chances to win people over and earn their trust!
